Research overview
Stent Translational Medicine Lab has focused on developing various multifunctional and creative stents based on clinical unmet needs from Asan Medical Center. Now our Lab is actively conducting national and international translational research on drug eluting biodegradable stents, obesity treating devices, Eustachian tube interventions, Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA), Irreversible Electroporation (IRE), Photodynamic therapy (PDT), nano-functionalized stents, and so on. Interventional Radiologists, Gastroenterologists, Surgeons, Otorhinolaryngologists, and physicians in Asan Medical Center are involved in the translational research in collaboration with stent companies, national and international universities.
